Job Description

A national law firm is seeking a seasoned Legal Assistant with at least 6 years of experience in complex commercial litigation for its Los Angeles office. Candidates must be proficient in California and federal court e-filing .

Key Responsibilities

• Support multiple attorneys with drafting, editing, formatting, and filing legal documents.
• Prepare Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities .
• E-file documents in CA state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with deadlines and rules.
• Manage calendars, schedule meetings/court dates, and track key deadlines.
• Handle case management, including docketing and organizing physical/digital files.
• Assist with trial preparation and closing matters .
• Coordinate travel and handle expense reimbursements.
• Maintain timekeeping and assist with billing.
• Provide backup support to other staff and perform general clerical duties.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of litigation experience; 3+ years at an Am Law 100 firm preferred.
• Expertise in e-filing , docketing , and litigation support.
• Skilled in preparing TOCs and TOAs.
• Strong communication, organizational, and proofreading skills.
• Able to support 5+ attorneys and manage competing priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 ; familiar with billing/time entry systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Willing to travel and work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.

Work Schedule

• In-office for the first 90 days.
• Hybrid : 4 days in-office, 1 day remote.
• Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week (7.5 hours/day).
