Job Description

The Senior Compliance Officer will manage the global compliance function for a medical device company and provide targeted guidance across the Sirtex business globally. The position reports to the General Counsel and is based in Sirtex’s headquarters in Woburn, MA. Candidates must be available to come into the office (hybrid arrangement)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and continuously improve the global compliance function based on OIG’s “7 Elements” framework (e.g., update policies, run Compliance Committee meetings, develop employee trainings, conduct audits, investigate compliance concerns).
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other privacy requirements, manage recurring privacy audits, and serve as Sirtex’s Security Officer.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging compliance risks.
  • Advise on diverse issues facing the business, including some contract review (up to 20% of workload).
Qualifications

  • Minimum of undergraduate degree from an accredited university required
  • Professional certification such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or JD highly preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in the areas described above
  • Demonstration of highest ethics and integrity
  • Business oriented advisor with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

The target base salary range for this position will range from $173,000 to $210,000 annually. Individual compensation for this job requisition will be based on non-discriminatory factors, including your geographic location, skills, experience, education and other factors as they relate to the position requirements. Actual compensation may vary depending on the confirmed job-related skills and experience.

In addition to the expected base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in Sirtex’s incentive programs (target bonus of 10% for this position) and benefit plans, which include paid sick and vacation time, health insurance and a generous 401k matching program .
